School Board and Administration

Jenn grew up on a farm in North Dakota. She and her husband, Jason, are both from small towns near Bismarck, ND. Jenn and Jason and their son, Bauer, moved to Montana in December 2014 for Jenn to work as a family physician for Billings Clinic. Bauer currently attends Billings Central Catholic High School. Jenn loves to read and cook, and she especially enjoys cooking for family and friends. She also loves any animal, but particularly dogs. Jenn has spent countless hours volunteering both as a member of the school board and within Saint Francis Catholic and Billings Central Catholic. In 2020, Jenn was honored with the Billings Catholic Schools Volunteer of the Year award.

Lisa is an attorney with the Federal government and proud mom of two Billings Catholic Schools students. Lisa started her legal career serving as a Judge Advocate General with the U.S. Air Force. Following the Air Force, she worked in a small firm in Kingman, Arizona, for ten years before returning to Federal service. Lisa earned a B.A. in Spanish from Northern Arizona University and her J.D. from the University of Notre Dame. Lisa and her family moved to Billings in 2017 and love spending time together camping, kayaking, hiking, traveling, huckleberry picking, and fishing.

Mark is the Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager for Montana Sulphur Company, in charge of environmental, safety and regulatory compliance. He received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Montana State University-Billings. Mark has two children attending Billings Catholic Schools. In their free time, Mark and his family enjoy spending time in the mountains camping, hunting and fishing.

Leslie is a Billings Central Catholic class of 1992 graduate and proud alumnus. She is now enjoying the blessings of having her children learning and growing up in the Billings Catholic Schools family. Leslie and her husband Chad met in Spokane, Washington, and moved to Oregon after they were married. Leslie’s background is in social work and education. She is passionate about supporting BCS students, staff, and the education that is happening in our schools, and that is what inspired her to serve on the BCS School Board.

Joe has been married to his wife and Billings Central Catholic alumnus Karen since 1987 and is a father to eight children and grandfather to eight grandchildren and counting. Joe’s youngest child, Lucas, is a third generation Billings Catholic Schools student. Joe has served as BCS School Board Chairman, Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, PTA president, volunteer fireman, ELKS, Rotary Club, and for many other community and business-related organizations. Joe’s past work experience includes over 20 years of banking, insurance, and financial wealth assessing and helping clients meet their desired goals, and he has an extensive background in residential building. Currently Joe works for Wyo-Ben as a Resources Manager and Government Affairs with previous experience in environmental studies and permitting as a Project Engineer.

Tyler is the Executive Director of Philanthropy for Intermountain Health Montana and is a member of the St. Vincent Regional Hospital Senior Leadership Team. Before joining Intermountain Health, he served in philanthropy leadership positions with Montana State University-Bozeman and Rocky Mountain College. Tyler has undergraduate and master's degrees from MSU-Bozeman and grew up on a farm and ranch in Wilsall, MT. Tyler and his wife Malaree have three children, Miranda, Ryan, and Molly who are students in the Billings Catholic Schools system. Tyler and his family are members of St. Pius X Parish.

Ron is a CPA/tax partner at Eide Bailly LLP. Ron and his spouse, Amy, have one daughter, Ava, who graduated from Billings Central Catholic High School in 2025. Ava attended Billings Catholic Schools since kindergarten at Saint Francis Catholic and enjoyed academics, clubs, basketball and soccer throughout her time in the BCS system. Ron grew up on a cattle ranch that his parents still operate in Luther, MT. Ron has been actively involved in the Billings community since 1998 including serving organizations such as Billings Catholic Schools, Mayfair with the BCS Foundation, Alberta Bair Theater, Billings Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Exchange Club, MSU-Billings, Yes For Kids, and St. Pius X Parish.

Father Steve was ordained as a priest for the Diocese of Great Falls-Billings on June 15, 1989, and began serving as pastor of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Billings in 2008. He is the youngest of seven children. The vocation of serving as a priest over the years has been a great gift to Father Steve, and part of that gift has been serving the children, faculty and administration of Billings Catholic Schools. Father Steve has served on the BCS School Board for several years and he finds it worthwhile because he knows of the positive impact that our Catholic schools have upon our children and youth. His life at St. Thomas is busy, but in his spare time he likes to cook and finds cooking a great outlet as he enjoys pulling together a meal when he has the time.

Jon is a Public Health Officer for Yellowstone County and CEO at RiverStone Health. The first decade of Jon’s career focused on serving America’s Veterans as a leader in the Veterans Health Administration. Originally from the Poconos in Northeast Pennsylvania, he obtained a master’s in health administration and a bachelor’s in biology, both from the University of Scranton, a Catholic and Jesuit institution. His true passion is teaching adaptive skiing. As a Paralympic and Special Olympic sports coach for over 20 years, he now teaches locally with Eagle Mount Billings. Jon and his wife Liz have three children in Billings Catholic Schools.

Mary Pankratz is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Nursing at Montana State University. She earned her BSN (2015) and MSN in Nursing Education (2019) from the University of Mary and completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nursing Leadership at Capella University in 2023. Mary began her nursing career in medical-surgical care at St. Vincent Healthcare before transitioning to the ICU at Billings Clinic, where she continues to practice. A 2011 graduate of Billings Catholic Schools, Mary is one of eight siblings to attend the system and has remained connected through attending and supporting countless Rams activities since joining the system. She is an active member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. In her spare time, Mary enjoys spending time with family, walking her dogs, and baking—especially desserts.

Shanna is a lifelong Montanan who grew up in Eastern Montana and proudly calls Billings home with her husband, Matt. Together, they have three children and are strong advocates for Catholic education. Shanna is the CEO of SYNERGY HomeCare, where she leads with a deep commitment to service, integrity, and community involvement. She believes Catholic schools play a vital role in forming students academically, spiritually, and morally while fostering a strong sense of faith and leadership. Shanna joined the BCS Foundation in 2022 and has served as the Billings Catholic School Board Foundation Liaison since 2025. Through both her professional experience and personal life, she brings a collaborative, mission-driven perspective and is dedicated to supporting the long-term success of Catholic education in our community.
