Host families are needed each school year for international students who attend Billings Central Catholic High School. Host families provide the student with room and board and transportation to and from school and school-related activities.
The most important quality that a host family needs is a willingness to open their hearts and homes to a student from another country and be able to roll with the chaos and craziness that high school can sometimes be. All of these students have been extensively screened but our partner agency, as well as interviewed by BCCHS personally. All are fluent in English.
Families hosting an international student receive a host family stipend as well as a $500 tuition grant for their own family.
Hosting an international student can be an incredible experience for both the international student and the host family. Both the host family and the international student share their own culture, while also learning a new culture. Many host family experiences result in a lifelong relationship with the student, meeting the student’s family, and traveling to the student’s home country.
